I am updating my earlier review and want to say that upon receiving the scout (my second jagged mtn knife)! I love it. Have not had a chance to use it during hunting season but have used it around the house. It is a quality piece. Probably my second favorite blade with the Nomad being my first. Great job gentlemen.
really like the profile of this blade. my primary hunting knives must be narrow enough to field dress a deer without splitting the pelvis (so, needs to be narrow enough to cut around the anus for field dressing). also very nimble for small game such as rabbit, turkey and other birds. A larger knife works well as a skinner, that's not this knife - I have average size hands and this is basically a 3 finger grip with pinky covering the butt of the knife. Perfect for my use case.
Since they have the new polymer stealth at the time I purchased wish they would offer to prior clients like me I have bought 2 knives this year a reduced price on those polymer sheath
I asked Jacob about getting a custom scout to match my custom nomad. He took the time to create a new item on the website and take the order asap. I love my JMK knives.
What a great little knife! Perfect size for EDC, beautiful workmanship and style, and I couldn't be happier with it.
And the leather sheath is well made and high quality.
Overall, a great value for a quality handmade in the USA product.
