Our Story
Love The Journey
It all started in Springville, Utah. Childhood friends Jacob Dodd, Westley Dodd, and Andrew Florence grew up fishing, hunting, skiing, and building things — always outside, always creating. That passion eventually led them to Tedd Harris, an experienced bladesmith who lived just down the street. Under Tedd’s guidance, they learned the precision, patience, and art of bladesmithing — and quickly fell in love with it.
After years of making knives by hand, they decided it was time to share their work. In 2017, Jagged Mountain Knives was born — a name Jacob had come up with as a kid, dreaming of building a business someday.

Where we are Today
What started in a backyard forge has grown into a full-time operation — but the heart of Jagged Mountain Knives hasn’t changed. Today, we’re still based in Springville, Utah, where every knife is made by hand, one at a time, by a small and dedicated team. We’ve grown from a passion project among friends into a company known for quality, grit, and craftsmanship — shipping blades across the country to customers who believe in gear that works and lasts.
We’re not just here to make knives — we’re here to build something meaningful. At Jagged Mountain Knives, our mission is to grind the grind and love the journey. We believe in putting in the work, embracing the process, and crafting tools that reflect the pride of doing things the right way. This is more than a product — it’s a way of life.
