Co-designed alongside survivalist, outdoorsman, and modern-day nomad Donny Dust, this knife was created with one goal in mind: strip away anything unnecessary and build a compact field knife tough enough to handle real use for real years.
No gimmicks. No fragile materials. No parts that don’t belong.
 
Just thick American steel, a brutally dependable grind, bombproof handle construction, and a sheath built to ride on your belt every day.
 
The Mule is crafted from 5/32” thick 1095 high carbon steel—one of the toughest, hardest-working steels trusted in field blades—and heat treated to hold an aggressive edge through abuse. The Scandi grind gives the knife exceptional control in wood processing, camp tasks, food prep, carving, and utility work, while also making it incredibly simple to sharpen back to razor sharpness in the field.
 
At 7 inches overall with a blade just under 3 inches, The Mule carries compact but feels stout in hand. It was intentionally designed to be short, thick, maneuverable, and nearly indestructible—the kind of knife you find yourself reaching for every single day.
 
The handle is built from rugged brown canvas micarta and secured with solid brass pins and a hollow brass lanyard tube. It offers excellent grip wet or dry, shrugs off weather and dirt, and gains character the harder it gets used.
 
Each Mule comes paired with a handcrafted full-grain veg tan leather scout carry sheath, finished with copper rivets and built for comfortable horizontal carry. It rides tight, secure, and out of the way—exactly where a daily field knife should.
 
This is not a safe queen.
This is a knife built to earn wear and tear.
 
THE INAUGURAL RUN — FIRST 100 ONLY
The first 100 Mule knives will release on May 1st, and every knife in this inaugural batch will be individually laser marked 1 of 100.
 
After this first release, The Mule will remain in our permanent production lineup—but these original 100 will be the only ones ever marked from the first Donny Dust collaboration run.
 
For collectors, early supporters, and those who want one from the beginning, this is the batch to own.
