Two purpose-built blades. One complete backcountry system.
The American West was built by men who traveled light, worked hard, and depended on the tools they carried.
The Frontiersman Set was created in that same spirit.
Jagged Mountain Knives and Canvas Cutter teamed up to design two knives built specifically for hunters: the H. Glass Skinner, a full-size skinning and processing knife, and the K. Carson Caper, a compact precision blade made for caping and detailed work.
Together, they give you everything you need to take an animal from the field to the pack.
This collaboration is especially meaningful to us. We've been fans of Canvas Cutter since we were kids. They build incredible American-made products designed to actually be used in the backcountry, and we've always respected what they've created. Years later, getting to work together to build these knives has been something special.
Both knives are handmade in the USA from Pop's ProCut steel, heat treated to approximately 62 HRC, with full flat grinds, brute de forge finishes, skeletonized full tangs, canvas Micarta handles, and steel pins.
And they were designed to work together.
Each knife comes with its own custom Kydex sheath and Tek-Lok. Carry them separately, or mount the two sheaths together into one compact setup. The system can be configured vertically, horizontally, or at an angle depending on how you want to carry it.
H. Glass Skinner
The workhorse of the set. At 9 inches overall with a broad 4.25-inch blade, the H. Glass Skinner gives you the size and control needed for skinning, quartering, and processing game.
