After showing off our new horizontal Nomad sheath, the response was bigger than we expected. Because of the demand, we're opening a limited pre-order ahead of the official November 1 release.
The Nomad Outrider Sheath is a full-grain leather, horizontal-carry sheath designed specifically for the Jagged Mountain Knives Nomad. Built to ride comfortably along the small of the back, it keeps the Nomad tight against the body and out of the way while still keeping it within easy reach. THE SHEATH IS AMBIDEXTROUS, it can be flipped and worn both ways!
Inspired by traditional pancake and cowboy-style sheaths, the Outrider gives the Nomad an entirely different look and feel from a traditional vertical sheath.
Each sheath is handmade by Travis Okey of Western Trade in his shop in Springville, Utah, using American full-grain leather. Like the knife it was built for, this sheath is made in America by hand and built to get better with age.

Do you make the sheath for left handed people?
The nomad is great, everything about it. I found myself leaving it behind because of the traditional vertical sheath. This turns it into the ultimate everyday carry knife. Loop it through your belt and it’s gone till you need it. Every nomad owner needs one! Top quality construction and materials. This will age like fine wine. JMK killed it with this.

Hands down the best sheath I’ve ever owned. The Nomad Outrider is incredibly comfortable, and once I put it on, it basically disappears. I wear it horizontally on my back and nobody even notices it’s there. It sits close to the body, doesn’t get in the way, and I can sit down, drive, or move around normally without even thinking about it.
The leather is beautiful and the craftsmanship is seriously impressive. You can tell a lot of care went into making it. The Nomad itself is an amazing knife,
